Install and run Croppy
Save Croppy to your Figma account once, then run it from any Figma Design file.
Before you start
- Make sure you are logged in to your Figma account.
- Croppy works in Figma Design files. It does not run in FigJam or Figma Slides.
- You need edit access to a file to insert results into it and to save your Croppy settings on its pages.
- According to Figma's help center, Figma Design plugins run on Starter and Full seats. If you are in an organization, your admin may limit you to approved plugins. Ask them to approve Croppy if you cannot find it.
Install Croppy from Figma Community
- Open Croppy's page on Figma Community.
- Click Save at the top of the page.
Saved plugins are linked to your Figma account, so Croppy is available in every file you open.
Run Croppy
- Open a Figma Design file and go to the page that holds your images.
- Click the Tools tab in the left navigation bar.
- Search for Croppy, or pick it from your recent plugins.
- Click Croppy, then click Run.
Croppy has two commands. Open Croppy works with the whole page. Crop Selection works with only the layers you have selected. See Crop Selection.
When Croppy opens
- Open Croppy shows a short welcome from Aira while it reads your page. Crop Selection skips it.
- The window opens at 1040 × 680 px. Drag the grip in the bottom-right corner to make it bigger or smaller. With the grip focused, the arrow keys resize it too.
- Until you activate Pro, a banner at the top shows how many free trial runs you have left. See Activate Croppy Pro.
Remove Croppy
- Open Croppy's page on Figma Community, or the Saved tab on your Community profile.
- Click Remove from saves.
Croppy settings saved on your Figma pages stay in those files. They do nothing while Croppy is not installed.
